1. Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA published by W3C. WCAG explains how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more usable to everyone. We also track the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), in force across the EU from June 2025, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III standards.
2. Measures we take
- Accessibility is part of our design-system and component review.
- Semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks and visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Colour contrast meets WCAG AA on both light and dark themes.
- All forms use programmatically-associated labels and error messages.
- Keyboard navigation across all primary flows including auth and the client portal.
- Automated checks (axe-core) run in our development workflow; manual screen-reader passes (VoiceOver, NVDA) are scheduled at least quarterly.
3. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known gaps as of 15 June 2026:
- Engineering drawings & PDFs uploaded by clients are not always tagged. We provide alternative descriptions on request — contact accessibility@cyntech.co.za.
- Live telemetry charts communicate primarily through visual encoding. We expose a tabular view on each chart and accept feedback on improvements.
- Third-party embeds (map providers, video players) may not meet the same standard — we will offer text alternatives where they appear.
4. Compatibility
cyntech.io is designed to work with the latest two major versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile. We test with the latest versions of VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows) and TalkBack (Android).
5. Feedback & reporting a barrier
If you experience a barrier or need content in an alternative format, please tell us. We aim to respond within 3 business days and resolve confirmed issues within 30 days.

6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact your national accessibility regulator. EU residents can refer to their member-state enforcement body under the EAA. South African residents may approach the South African Human Rights Commission.
7. Review
